Anne Archer "Privileged" to join CW drama (Reuters)
The project, formerly known as "Surviving the Filthy Rich" and "How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls," centers on a Yale-educated woman (Joanna Garcia) who is hired to be the live-in tutor/life coach to two rich 16-year-old twin girls (Lucy Hale, Ashley Newbrough) in Palm Beach.
Archer will play their grandmother, a wealthy widow who is raising them after their parents were killed in a plane crash. She replaces Marsha Mason, who played the role in the pilot.
"Privileged" is slated to air Tuesdays 9 p.m. in the fall.
Archer, who has recurred on CBS' "Ghost Whisperer" as Jennifer Love Hewitt's mom, received an Oscar nomination for her supporting role as Michael Douglas' wife in the 1987 thriller "Fatal Attraction."
