Hamlin en route to "Island" (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Harry Hamlin, whose television credits include "L.A. Law" and "Veronica Mars," has joined CBS' horror drama series "Harper's Island," which the network is targeting for a midseason launch.

The serialized drama revolves around a group of friends who meet on an island off the Seattle coast for a destination wedding and find themselves terrorized.

Hamlin will play the groom's (Christopher Gorham) uncle Marty, an outgoing, charming womanizer.
