Katrina doc "Trouble the Water" headed for theaters (Reuters)

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - The Hurricane Katrinachronicle "Trouble the Water," winner of this year's SundanceGrand Jury documentary prize, has been picked up for U.S.distribution by Zeitgeist Films.

Tia Lessin and Carl Deal's "Water" uses camcorder footagethat aspiring rapper Kimberly Roberts and Scott Roberts shotbefore and during the New Orleans disaster. The film tracks thecouple through the aftermath, taking a critical look at thegovernment's response and media coverage.

The film will receive an Oscar-qualifying run in LosAngeles and New York beginning August 22, followed by a gradualnational rollout.
