TV Tidbits: Notes of Interest (Mediaweek.com)


After a 15-month absence, FX crime drama The Shield will return for a seventh, and final, season on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

-A Very Brady Outsider's Inn:
Bobby Brown, Carnie Wilson and former Brady Bunch star Maureen McCormick ("Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!) will be featured in Outsider's Inn, a new non-scripted series on CMT. Outsider's Inn will focus on the trials and tribulations of McCormick's decision to run a bed and breakfast in rural east Tennessee, with the help of Brown and Wilson. It debuts on Friday, August 15.

-CBSTD's The Doctors Staffs Up:
Upcoming CBS Television Distribution talk show The Doctors, which debuts on Sept. 8, has named Andrew Scher as co-executive producer, and George Davilas and Jeff Hudson as supervising producers. Scher's background includes producing stints on Dr. Phil, Montel, The John Walsh Show, Ricki and Queen Latifah. Davilas was supervising producer on Montel and Martha. And Hudson was co-executive producer on HGTV's Deserving Design, supervising producer on Soap Talk, and coordinating producer on short-lived talker Beyond with James Van Praagh.
