Monkeys for Reading and Leeds

Arctic Monkeys are the first headline act unveiled for this year's Reading and Leeds festivals.

The bank holiday festivals take place at Reading's Richfield Avenue and Leeds' Bramham Park on the weekend of 28-30 August.

Two more acts are expected to be announced later today [March 30] with tickets going on sale at 7pm tonight.

Last year's event was headlined by Rage Against The Machine, The Killers and Metallica.
