Chesney wins fourth country award
Singer Kenny Chesney has won country music's top prize - entertainer of the year - for a fourth time at the Country Music Association Awards (CMA).
"It's very wonderful to stand up here and hold this trophy for the fourth time," the 40-year-old said.
Despite being nominated for seven awards, it was the only award Chesney won at the ceremony in Nashville.
American Idol winner Carrie Underwood also won her third consecutive female vocalist of the year award.
Chesney, who is best known in the UK for his brief marriage to Renee Zellweger, has had an 11-year career that has produced the hits Everybody Wants To Go to Heaven, There Goes My Life and She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy.
He has also sold more than a million concert tickets every year for the past six years.
George Strait was honoured in two categories, winning album of the year, for Troubadour and single of the year, for I Saw God Today.

He has now won more awards than any other performer in CMA Awards history, with a total of 22.
There were also two awards for Sugarland, scooping duo of the year and song of the year, for their hit Stay.
"It's just been a gift from the beginning and been a gift to write, and I hope it's been a gift and touched your heart," said lead singer Jennifer Nettles, accepting the award.
Rascal Flatts took home the best vocal group prize - an award they won for a sixth consecutive year, beating the likes of the Eagles.
Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant picked up the award for musical event of the year, for the duet Gone, Gone, Gone with Alison Krauss.
The ceremony included performances by Keith Urban, Taylor Swift and a surprise performance from Kid Rock and rapper Lil Wayne - although though the latter star did not utter a word, merely mimicked playing a guitar onstage.
Actors Reese Witherspoon, Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman all presented awards at the show at Nashville's Sommet Centre.
